Police seek witnesses after senior assaulted on BC Ferries vessel

A senior citizen was assaulted on a BC Ferries vessel travelling from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale Thursday, Mounties say.

The man was in an elevator on the 4:20 p.m. sailing when the incident occurred, leaving him with injuries to his face.

“There may have been several witnesses who saw the suspect and victim immediately after the assault when the elevator opened,” the Sunshine Coast RCMP said.

“The victim, a 79-year-old Sechelt man, suffered injuries to his face.”
