Toronto police investigating a stabbing in Cabbagetown

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing in Cabbagetown that left one man with serious injuries on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Dundas Street East and Pembrooke Street at approximately 9:00 p.m. after receiving reports about a man who was found with a stab wound.

Police say the suspect fled the scene and was last seen wearing a black coat, grey sweatpants and black shoes.

The victim was later transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details were released.
