Toronto police seize 4 guns during drug investigation raid
Toronto police say they’ve taken several handguns off the streets after they were seized during searches and arrests related to a drug investigation.
The probe began on January 4, 2025, and culminated with the execution of search warrants on a residence and a motor vehicle.
On Monday, five people were arrested in the Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue area.
During those arrests, investigators say they seized two guns that were being carried by a youth and an adult man, Raulston Hottar.
Two more guns, as well as ammunition and drugs, including methamphetamine and cocaine, were allegedly seized from the home that was searched.
Investigators say the seized guns, (pictured below), are semi-automatic and two of them were equipped with high-capacity magazines.
One was also equipped with a Glock switch capable of converting the firearm to automatic fire, police said.
Toronto residents Raulston Hottar, 21, Phildel Hottar, 22, Jathanelle Latulippe, 18, Shanetel Macrae, 47, and a male youth who can’t be named, are all facing numerous weapons and drug charges.
