Worker injured after falling 10 feet at North Vancouver construction site

The District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services says a worker on a construction site was taken to hospital after falling 10 feet through an opening on a concrete floor.

Assistant Fire Chief Mark Dear says crews were called out to the Seymour Estates on Lytton Street around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Crews conducted a technical rescue, using a tripod and rope system to remove the injured worker through a small entryway.

The worker may have suffered a spinal injury, Dear says.
