A group of 13-year-old boys have been charged following an alleged robbery of another teenager at a mall in Oshawa over the weekend.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers responded to reports of an armed person at Oshawa Centre at around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

It’s alleged that four male youths approached a 16-year-old boy and demanded his sweater and phone while making threats with a knife. Officers searched the mall and located three young suspects, who were taken into custody.

No physical injuries were reported.

Three boys, all aged 13, were charged with robbery. A fourth suspect, described as male and between 13 and 17 years old, remains wanted. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, black pants, and grey/white shoes.

The three accused youths were released on an undertaking and were not identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
