2 in hospital after separate crashes in Richmond
Mounties in Richmond are busy investigating two separate crashes Thursday.
The Richmond RCMP responded to the first crash on Alderbridge Way near No. 3 Road around 7:30 a.m.
Police say the driver of a sedan travelling westbound struck a light pole.
“The driver was transported to a local area hospital and is in critical but stable condition,” Mounties explained.
As of Thursday afternoon, Alderbridge Way is closed in both directions between Minoru Boulevard and No. 3 Road as officers from the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service investigate.
Around noon, the Richmond RCMP responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of No. 4 Road and Odlin Road.
“One driver has been transported to a local area hospital with significant injuries.”
No. 4 Road is closed between Cambie Road and Tomicki Avenue as investigators work.
Police offered no timeline for either area’s reopening.
