2 pedestrians sent to hospital after being hit by van in Abbotsford

Two pedestrians were injured after being hit by a van in Abbotsford Saturday afternoon, police say.

Emergency crews were called to the area of McCallum and King roads shortly before 3 p.m.

The AbbyPD says the van had been travelling south on McCallum when it mounted the sidewalk and hit the pedestrians.

Both were sent to hospital, one with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Impairment is not thought to be a factor.
