2 President’s Choice salt products recalled in Canada due to plastic pieces

President’s Choice brand Mediterranean Sea Salts and Himalayan Pink Rock Salts are being recalled across Canada due to contamination with pieces of plastic, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says.

The agency did not say if anyone has become ill or injured from consuming the affected products.

“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products,” it advised on its website.

The recall, initiated by Loblaw Companies Limited, affects the following products.

– President’s Choice’s Mediterranean Sea Salts (360 g), with the Universal Product Code: 0 60383 97655 2

– President’s Choice’s Himalayan Pink Rock Salts (390 g), with the Universal Product Code: 0 60383 18288 5.

Both recalled products have best before dates up to Jan. 17, 2026.
