2 teens, 2 adults charged in Brampton armed robbery

Peel Regional Police have arrested two teens and two adults in connection with the armed robbery of a retail store in Brampton over the weekend.

Officers were called to the area of Steeles Avenue West and McLaughlin Road South at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, four males entered an electronics store with a firearm and made a demand for various items. The suspects allegedly left one victim with minor injuries before fleeing the store and taking off in a nearby vehicle.

Police were able to track them down a short while later near Dundas Street West and Kipling Avenue in Toronto and initiated a foot pursuit.

During the arrest, officers allegedly recovered a Glock 19 handgun with 11 rounds of ammunition in an extended magazine.

Two of the suspects include a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old who cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The other two suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Chayim Abecassis and 20-year-old Oluwafemi Oladekoye.

All four suspects are facing six charges, including robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with the intent of committing a crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited device.

Oladekoye faces an additional charge for failing to comply with a release order.
