2 Vancouver men charged after Lower Mainland drug trafficking investigation
Two Vancouver men have been charged after what B.C.’s integrated anti-gang agency is calling an “extensive, intelligence-driven investigation” into drug trafficking across the Lower Mainland.
The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) says the investigation was launched in February 2024 after intelligence identified a suspect who was thought to be distributing large quantities of fentanyl and other illicit drugs through an organized network.

According to the CFSEU-BC, searches coordinated in October 2024 led to the seizure of:
- Over 3 kilograms of fentanyl;
- 10 ounces of methamphetamine;
- 6 ounces of cocaine;
- $3,000 in Canadian currency; and
- Various cutting agents and packaging materials.
Last month, charges were approved against both men.
31-year-old Ashnil Bobby Singh has been charged with six offences, including two counts of trafficking fentanyl and one count of trafficking MDMA, as well as three separate possession-related charges.
Lenny Mauricio Umanzor, 31, has been charged with two counts relating to possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and cocaine.
Warrants were then issued for both men.
Singh was arrested in Richmond on Oct. 9 and released on conditions. Umanzor surrendered to police on Oct. 15 and has been released pending his next court appearance.
