3 charged in homicide near Woodbine Beach

Three people have been charged in connection to a homicide in The Beaches last August.

Toronto police were called to the Lake Shore Boulevard East and Joseph Duggan Road area at around 10:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting on August 10.

A male victim was located with gunshot wounds and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died in hospital.

The victim was later identified as 21-year-old Dacia Mbongo of Quebec.

On Jan. 7, search warrants were executed in Toronto and Durham Region and two men and a woman were arrested in connection with Mbongo’s death.

Ricardo Wills, 18, of Toronto and Kenneth Neil, 26, of Ajax have been charged with second degree murder and robbery. Lukiara Hunter-Wilmot, 19, of Toronto has been charged with manslaughter and robbery.

They were all scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
