Mounties in Maple Ridge are investigating after an apparent dog attack sent four people to hospital last week.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says officers responded to a report of a dog attack outside a home near 216 Street and 124 Avenue at around 8 p.m. on April 2.

“Four people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” Mounties say.

Police have provided limited details and not confirmed if the injuries were the result of the reported dog attack, but say the BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has also been contacted.

The BC SPCA has directed inquiries to the City of Maple Ridge.
