5 arrested in 3 border incidents over 2 days
Five people suspected of crossing the U.S.-Canada border illegally were arrested in the Fraser Valley this week.
The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) says reports of three separate border incidents kept officers busy on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Between the two nights, police tracked and arrested five people who allegedly entered Canada. Their motives are unclear at this time.
A post on social media explains that four suspects were turned over to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and one was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
If you see what you think is suspicious activity near the border, you’re asked to call 911 or the AbbyPD’s non-emergency line at 604-859-5225.
