A nasty crash heading east on the Port Mann Bridge has led to big delays Thursday morning for Highway 1.

The incident involving seven vehicles closed the HOV and right lanes mid-span of the bridge.

“Three of them are trucks. One of them is a cargo van, with another vehicle. It looks like it’s driven right underneath it there. The other two trucks just seem to be parked,” said Darren Grieve with The Leader Spirit Air Patrol.

“The center lane has a whole bunch of debris on it as well. So, a real mess here,” he added.

The Surrey exit lanes are clear and open.

You can use the Patullo Bridge as an alternate route.
