Police seek suspect in reported stabbing in Surrey

The suspect in an assault Nov. 14 fled to the parking lot of a fitness centre at 7093 King George Blvd. in Surrey, the RCMP says.

The Surrey RCMP needs help finding a suspect who reportedly stabbed two teens in the city’s Newton neighbourhood.

Police responded to reports of the stabbing shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday on 135 Street near 71st Avenue.

When they arrived, they found two boys, aged 11 and 13, who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to hospital for assessment.

Officers say the suspect left on foot toward the Planet Fitness on King George Boulevard near 70th Avenue.

The male suspect is described as being 5’5″ tall, with black hair and in his mid to late teens.

According to witnesses, he wore all-black attire, including a Nike medical mask, a hoodie or sweater, pants, and Nike shoes.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage before and after 1:45 p.m. Thursday around 135th Street and 71st Avenue or in the parking lot of the fitness centre at 7093 King George Boulevard, is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 2024-169392.
