UBC, SFU, CapU, and BCIT have all announced cancellations for Thursday due to the weather.

UBC says all in-person learning activities will once again be cancelled on the Vancouver campus.

Students are asked to look for communication from instructors as classes may move online.

SFU says all classes, labs, university services, and campus activities will be cancelled Thursday. It says buildings will remain open, except campus libraries and the Lorne Davies Sports Complex will be closed. The school says it will provide an update by 6 a.m. Friday.

BCIT says all of its in-person classes and exams are cancelled. It says the closure doesn’t apply to anyone whose classes or work are online.

Capilano University also announced cancellations.

Meanwhile, St. Helen’s Elementary school in Burnaby also says, due to heating issues and a broken pipe, it will also be closed on Thursday.

Pacific Academy in Surrey will also be closed Thursday due to the weather.
