1 hospitalized after pedestrian hit by driver in Delta
A pedestrian was sent to hospital after being struck by the driver of car at a Delta intersection Friday afternoon.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) says paramedics were called to the scene of the collision at 88 Avenue and 116 Street around 1:20 p.m.
“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition,” said Rachelle Bown with BC EHS.
The Delta Police Department says the road was north Delta was closed for nearly two hours while officers investigated the scene.
“I do not know causation, but I can say that the driver remained on scene and is cooperating,” said Acting Insp. James Sandberg.
Police say the pedestrian’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
