‘Unfolding’ incident in Coquitlam, avoid area, police say
Two people are in hospital and police in Coquitlam are urging the public to stay away from what they are calling an “unfolding incident” in the Burquitlam neighbourhood.
The Coquitlam RCMP says its officers are responding to the incident in the area of Lea Street and Dogwood Street.
“Police are requesting the public to avoid this area. More information to follow when available,” Mounties shared.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) say it responded to two calls at the scene shortly after 9 a.m.
At 9:12 a.m., BC EHS says it responded to a call about a police incident and paramedics transported one person to hospital in stable condition.
At 9: 14 a.m., BC EHS says it received a call about a motor vehicle incident and paramedics transported another person to hospital in stable condition.
