Items recovered from series of thefts from cars; suspect arrested

Delta Police have recovered some stolen items and are looking to return them to their rightful owners.

On April 7, police say they were notified of a suspicious male in Ladner. Officers spoke with the male and could not determine an offence. Officers say they later determined the same man was allegedly responsible for several thefts from vehicles in and around the 5500 block of 49th Avenue and the 5300 block of Crescent Drive.

The 37-year-old man was relocated and arrested for theft and possession of stolen property.

Police say they have recovered some items that are believed to have been stolen but have not yet been reported. They say they believe unreported thefts have occurred in the area. To report a theft call (604) 946-4411.

Officers are also looking to recover stolen Milwaukee brand tools.

The man was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
