Vehicle strikes and kills pedestrian in Maple Ridge, police say

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says it is investigating after a fatal vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in Maple Ridge Aug. 30, 2025.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says it is investigating after a fatal vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in Maple Ridge Saturday evening.

Officers were flagged down in the area of Lougheed Highway near 203rd Street just after 11 p.m.



“The initial investigation revealed a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle,” said Const. Tisha Parsons.

“Attending police officers administered first-aid to the man, and Maple Ridge Fire Rescue and Emergency Health Services attended the scene.”

The man was taken to hospital but later died, she says.



The Serious Crimes Unit and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are also investigating.
