75-year-old woman killed in Vancouver crash
Vancouver Police have released more details about a fatal crash that occurred in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood on Tuesday morning.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says a 75-year-old woman was driving south when her vehicle was struck by a delivery truck heading west on West 57th avenue around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday.
The VPD confirmed that the woman died at the scene.
“The delivery truck driver remained on scene, and a number of witnesses have come forward to provide information,” said VPD media relations officer Sgt. Steve Addison.
Images from the scene show a commercial truck that crashed into a Mercedes-Benz sedan.
The VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
Police say that they do not “anticipate Criminal Code or Motor Vehicle Act charges to be laid.”
