One person was sent to hospital after an incident in Maple Ridge Saturday afternoon, BC Emergency Health Services says.

Peter Darbyshire, communications officer with Provincial Health Services Authority, tells The Leader Spirit they responded to a “medical incident” call just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of 222 Street and 120 Avenue.

“We responded with two ambulances and paramedics cared for and transported one patient to hospital,” Darbyshire said. “I don’t know the condition.”

The Leader Spirit has reached out to the RCMP for more information. Mounties say they will be releasing more information shortly.

This is a developing story.
