Published

Despite the heavy rains, the Year of the Dragon came in with a roar at this year’s Spring Festival Parade and Lunar New Year festivities in Vancouver.

The streets were lined with tens of thousands of revellers to mark the event in the city’s historic Chinatown on Sunday.

This year was the 50th anniversary of the annual parade.

Planners said road closures would remain in effect until 4 p.m.
