Toronto police have identified a suspect after a teen was randomly attacked while riding a TTC subway on the Bloor-Danforth line in January.

Investigators say it happened around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, on a train approaching Pape station.

A 19-year-old male was on the train when police say a man he didn’t know struck him from behind in the head with a wooden object.

Passengers helped the injured victim off the train while the suspect remained on board.

The suspect has since been identified as Robert Olah, 44, of Toronto.

“Olah is being held and is before the courts on other matters,” a police release states. “The investigation remains ongoing.”
