White Rock RCMP major investigation underway

A major police presence is in White Rock Thursday morning, as a whole residential block is sealed off by RCMP officers.

At the intersection of Roper Avenue and Parker Street, a vehicle can be seen behind police investigation cones, with its hood nestled between large trees up against a home’s wooden fence.

Reports online suggest shots may have been fired in the area around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Video footage posted to a neighbourhood Facebook group includes sounds of what appears to be gunfire.

However, White Rock RCMP has not confirmed any details regarding the incident.
