The four men accused of being involved in the killing of a prominent Sikh leader in Surrey are expected to make another court appearance on Tuesday.

Kamalpreet Singh, Karan Brar, Karanpreet Singh, and Amandeep Singh face several charges, including first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, in connection with the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Nijjar was shot and killed outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in June 2023.

The 45-year-old was a key figure in the push to create an independent Sikh state in India.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has implicated the Indian government in Nijjar’s death, but New Delhi has denied any involvement.
