As B.C. prepares for this year’s respiratory illness season, provincial officials will provide an outlook Wednesday.

The province says fall is the time of the year when the province sees increases in viral respiratory illnesses, including influenza, RSV, and COVID-19.

Health Minister Josie Osborne and Deputy Provincial Health Officer Dr. Martin Lavoie are expected to make an announcement about the season in a media event around noon.

Osborne and Lavioe are also expected to receive their vaccinations during the event.
