BC man going to prison for making, distributing child pornography

A man from Chetwynd, B.C., has been sentenced to eight months in prison for making and distributing child pornography.

Tyler Harroff, also known as George Joseph Harroff, pleaded guilty last year for taking cell-phone video of a child being sexually assaulted in 2020.

Harroff was 18 years old at the time.

According to court documents, he sent the footage to his friends via Snapchat.

In the victim impact statement, the victim says the experience has caused a great deal of pain.

Harroff will also serve time on probation after he is released from jail.
