Mounties in Burnaby say a 44-year-old man is facing more than two dozen charges related to multiple break and enters from a over a year ago.

The RCMP says the break-ins happened at “high-end homes” that were being built between September 2022 and February 2023.

In March of last year, Mounties say three properties were searched as part of their investigation, with one person being arrested.

At the time, the RCMP asked the public for help in returning property recovered to the rightful owners. Mounties now say they’ve been able to return about 30 per cent of the items.

Twenty-seven charges against Chad Russell Hubick were approved this January in connection with the probe.

Hubick is facing seven counts of break and enter, 19 counts of possession of stolen property, and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
