The Burnaby RCMP is investigating after a stabbing near Squint Lake Park Monday night.

“When police arrived on scene, they located a victim, a 42-year-old man, who was quickly transported to the hospital, where he remains in stable condition,” the Burnaby RCMP said Tuesday.

1130 NewsRadio has learned that the man was injured in a stabbing after a fight. The motive is under investigation but police have not confirmed if anyone was arrested.

Mounties remained on scene investigating as of Tuesday morning, but believe it to have been an isolated incident.
