The B.C. Coroners Service announced the postponement of an inquest due to job action by the B.C. General Employees Union and the Professional Employees Association.

The inquest, originally scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 6, will now take place on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

The case involves the deaths of a family of four from Prince Rupert: Janet Nguyen, her partner Christopher Duong, and their young sons, Alexander and Harlan Duong, who were found deceased in their home in 2023.

The Coroners Service has indicated that the new date may also be subject to change due to ongoing job action, and any updates will be made available on their website.
