A police investigation and a big clean up is underway in Coquitlam after a driver crashed into a bank Monday afternoon.

The Coquitlam RCMP says it was called to a TD Bank location near the intersection of Austin Avenue and Nelson Street around 1:15 p.m.

Images from the scene show the bank’s front doors shattered, along with a grey Hyundai SUV that appears to have gone straight through.

The SUV can be seen getting towed from the scene, with its windshield intact.

Details are limited, but Mounties say no injuries were reported.
