East Vancouver fire engulfs multiple homes
The Vancouver Fire Rescue Services are battling a massive fire in East Vancouver Monday night.
Chief Karen Fry took to social media, saying there are “multiple houses” on fire on East Pender Street near Glen Drive.
Fry is urging people to stay away from the area.
Footage from the blaze sent to 1130 NewsRadio shows massive orange flames shooting into the air, with callers saying smoke can be smelled in nearby neighbourhoods. According to images of the blaze from the area, the fire broke out before 8:30 p.m.
