A man died at a daytime shooting in Surrey’s Fleetwood neighborhood on June 11.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to reports of shots fired near 84th Avenue and 160th Street around 3:45 p.m.

There, they discovered a man with life-threatening injuries who later died at the scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has since taken over the case.

While the investigation is in its early stages and a motive is still unknown, police do not believe this incident is linked to any other active files.

The SPS has not reported any arrests.

This violent death marks the city’s third homicide of 2025.
