Laurel V Williams
An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday at the mortuary of the San Fernando General Hospital on the body Dale Williams of Palo Seco.
The 34-year-old was electrocuted at his home at Rifle Range Road on Boxing Day when he touched a live electrical cable illegally connected to a Heritage Petroleum power supply.
Newsday visited his galvanised home on Monday, but relatives were not around. Residents said Williams lived with his girlfriend, identified only as Shelly.
They did not divulge additional information.
Heritage issued a statement on Saturday saying that at around 11.30 am, company officials received reports of a tragic loss and visited the scene.
The relevant authorities were informed, including officials from the TT Electricity Commission, a district medical officer, and police, who visited.
The company said it maintains field signage and has issued warning letters as it discourages people from engaging “in this risky practice.”
The company also expressed its deepest condolences to the Williams family.
Santa Flora police are continuing investigations.
