HDC to refund Cocorite man for damage to window

COCORITE resident Foster Stewart will receive a refund cheque of $675 from the Housing Development Company (HDC) for repairs to the back window of his car.

On Wednesday, Newsday reported Stewart’s window was accidentally broken in October by two HDC employees who were cutting grass on the premises of his Powder Magazine Housing Scheme home.

The HDC corporate communications department issued a statement in response to the incident on Thursday. It said, “The HDC has acknowledged the incident which took place when labourers were maintain the grounds in this Cocorite community and further, apologises for the inconvenience caused to the resident.

“The payment will be processed before the end of the week and the resident will be contacted.”
