DIVISIONAL heads of the National Security Ministry will receive their covid19 vaccines on Saturday morning at Camp Ogden in St James.
In a media release on Friday, the Ministry said, National Security Minister Stuart Young along with acting Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier General Dexter Francis; Police Commissioner Gary Griffith; Prisons Commissioner Dennis Pulchan; Chief Fire Officer Marlon Smith; Commandant of the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force, Lt Col Reynold Yorke; Chief Executive Officer at the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management, retired Col Rodney Smart and Chief Immigration Officer Charmaine Gandhi-Andrews will all receive their AstraZeneca vaccines on Saturday.
The vaccination follows the inoculation of President Paula-Mae Weekes, her mother Phyllis Weekes, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh and Secretary for Health, Wellness and Family Development Tracy Davidson-Celestine, who all received their vaccines on April 6.
On that day the Prime Minister was supposed to have been vaccinated but announced he tested positive for covid19. Dr Rowley will have to wait six months before he can be vaccinated.
