The Langley RCMP says two teenagers were stabbed during an early morning incident Tuesday.

Just before 4 a.m., Mounties responded to reports that a youth had been stabbed in the area of 28 Avenue and 27A Avenue, in the Township’s Aldergrove neighbourhood.

“Officers arrived and located the youth with an injury consistent with being stabbed. Moments later, a second youth was located nearby, also with wounds consistent with being stabbed,” Corp. Craig van Herk shared.

Both teens were taken to hospital by BC Emergency Health Service with non-life-threatening injuries, van Herk adds.

“The investigation is in its very early stages, with several unanswered questions remaining. Initial investigation has determined the two youth victims are known to each other and both incidents are believed to be connected.  No suspect details or information is known,” he said.

The Langley General Investigating Section has taken over the investigation and police remain in the area canvassing and speaking with witnesses.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incidents to contact police at 604-532-3200.
