Man, 40, dies after being struck by tow truck in York
A 40-year-old man has died after being struck by a tow truck in York Monday evening.
Toronto police were called to Rogers and Weston roads just before 7 p.m.
The victim was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the pedestrian was in the intersection when the truck heading northbound struck him.
The driver involved remained on the scene. Officers say the investigation is still ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact investigators.
Road closures are expected in the area.
