Man and woman charged in armed Toronto robbery

A man and a woman were arrested and charged in connection to an alleged armed robbery in Toronto.

Toronto Police Service (TPS) officers were investigating the robbery and were granted permission to conduct a search warrant on Jan. 11 at a residence in the Keele Street and Wilson Avenue area of North York.

Police located a loaded Sig Sauer P320, a semi-automatic pistol, during their search.

Two people, a man and a woman from Toronto, were arrested. Police identified them as 20-year-old Terrell Joslyn and 30-year-old Carlene Francis.

The pair face several firearm-related offences, while Joslyn was additionally charged with assault with a weapon, possessing counterfeit money and theft under $5,000.

They both appeared in court on Jan. 12.
