Man arrested after being ‘unlawfully at large’ for more than a year

A Toronto man who was at large for more than a year and on Canada’s most wanted list is back in custody.

Police say 23-year-old Nicholas Singh went “unlawfully at large” on May 31, 2024, before being arrested just before 11:30 p.m. Friday in the Bathurst Street and Dupont Street area.

Toronto police say during the course of the arrest, a firearm, an extended magazine and ammunition were also seized.

Singh is facing six firearms-related charges.

According to provincial police, Singh was serving a five-year, five-month and 10-day sentence for discharging a restricted/prohibited firearm with intent, armed robbery and possessing a weapon contrary to a prohibition order when he breached his parole.
