The New Westminster Police Department says the suspect was spotted and reported by a passerby near 6th Avenue and 7th Street around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
When officers arrived, police say the suspect complied with instructions and was arrested.
“When the man was searched by police, a pistol was located in possession,” the NWPD explained Tuesday.
