Man arrested for allegedly trafficking girl, 15, from Durham Region

A 25-year-old man has been charged for allegedly trafficking a 15-year-old girl in the Durham Region.

Durham police say they were in the area of York Street and Bremner Boulevard in Toronto on Dec. 30, 2024.

A suspect believed to be trafficking a 15-year-old female from Durham was located and taken into custody without incident.

A search warrant was then conducted on the suspect’s residence where drugs and cash were allegedly seized.

Shaun Fairfax, 25, of no fixed address is facing several charges including Trafficking in Person Under 18, Material Benefit from Trafficking in Persons Under 18, Material Benefit from Sexual Services Under 18, Advertise Another Person Sexual Services, House Holder Permitting Prohibited Sexual Activity, and Procuring Under 18.

He has been held for a bail hearing.
