The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) reports that a man was killed in a police-involved shooting on Tuesday.

Officers were called to the corner of Rupert Street and Vanness Avenue around 4 p.m. in what police say was a “dispute between two neighbours.”

Upon arrival, the officers saw a man with a weapon. He was shot shortly after.

According to police, paramedics tried to revive the man, but he died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The VPD says it has notified the Independent Investigations Office of BC, which will be investigating the shooting.
