Man struck and killed by driver in North York

A man in his 50s is dead after being struck by a driver in North York.

Police say they were called to the area of Jane Street and Spenvalley Drive around 7 p.m. Thursday for reports someone had been struck.

When they arrived they found a man suffering from critical injuries.

He was taken to a nearby trauma centre where he later died as a result of his injuries.
