A man has been left injured after an assault at Lougheed SkyTrain Station in Burnaby Friday.

Metro Vancouver Transit Police say they responded to reports of a fight in progress involving an “edged weapon” around 6 p.m.

The victim suffered multiple injuries, including a broken nose, and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Const. Amanda Steed tells 1130 NewsRadio a suspect was found on a train and was arrested without incident.

Steed says police are recommending several charges, including assault causing bodily harm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
