Massey Tunnel accident causing delays in Richmond

An accident in the Massey Tunnel southbound in the left lane at the north end of the tunnel is causing major delays between Richmond and Delta. Emergency crews are on scene, but traffic is now backed up past Westminster Hwy on Hwy 99.

Callers to 1130 NewsRadio reported the incident just before 3:45 pm Wednesday afternoon.

Drivers should avoid the area and can take the Alex Fraser Bridge using the East-West connector as an alternate route.
