Metro Vancouver gas prices expected to rise moderately

Gas prices in Metro Vancouver are not expected to skyrocket, despite the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.

That’s according to analysts at GasBuddy, who add that drivers should prepare for a steady increase at the pump over the coming week.

GasBuddy says national gas prices are expected to climb by three to seven cents per litre.

The anticipated climb is largely attributed to the ongoing upward trend in global oil prices, along with other global factors influencing oil supply and demand.

Diesel, a key fuel for many industries, could see an even larger increase, potentially rising by five to ten cents per litre.

This comes after some social media influencers predicted severe price surges.
