A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after a three-vehicle collision in Abbotsford on Saturday.

The crash, which involved a Ducati motorcycle, a Mazda 3, and a Toyota Sienna van, happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Sumas Mountain Road near Ward Road.

“Upon arrival, emergency responders found all three vehicles with significant damage,” said Sgt. Paul Walker with the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD).

“The driver of the Mazda was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Toyota van were assessed at the scene and did not require hospital transport.”

Police don’t think impairment was a factor in the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage is asked to call the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225 and quote file number 2025-27414.
