Motorcyclist critically injured in Scarborough crash

Two people were taken to hospital following a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Scarborough.

Police say they were called to the scene of the accident at Ellesmere Road and Birkdale Road just before 5 p.m.

Investigators say the vehicle was turning left to Birkdale Road when it collided with the motorcycle traveling southbound on Ellsemere Road.

A male motorcyclist was taken to a trauma centre with in life-threatening condition while the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
